Changing Entries from a table

Is there is any method to change the data's in the table directly??

For example EKKO-Purchase order header table after seeing all the purchase order data's is there is any specific to way to change the data's directly from the table??

Hi arun,

you can change the data except key values using SM30 only.the steps to follow are

1)go to SM30

2)enter the table name and click on Maintain

3)in the table control change the values that you want to change and then click on save.

but this is possible only for custom tables means ztables.if you want to change the standard tables we have to write program using modify and update statements.

i am telling about standard sap tables like ekpo ekko etc with out writing any program can we able to change the master data's from the table itself.

no i think u cannot change from the table directly

as table maintenance is allowed with restrictions

I strongly advise against changing such table entries directly, you would be risking the overall data integrity.

If you still want to do it, you need to write your own program for it. Backup your system before you start.

Hi,

Following are the steps :

*Go to the concern table.

*Go to its contents.

*From the data browser select your particular row(which u want to change )

*double click on that row.

*go to debugger mode now.

*press enter

*Change the CODE to "EDIT".

*execute.

*Now change the value of the required fields.

*save.
