Why do the same Tcode ME11 have different screen number on two server?

We do the development about BAPI for the tcode me11.

we finished it on our own server,

but when we do the test on customer's server, we

found the me11 has different screen number.

as to ours, it's 0201, but to customer's, it's 1017.

The detail as following:

we use shdb to record the BDCDATA for tcode me11,

there are four screens , they are :

SAPMM06I 0100

SAPMM06I 0101

SAPMM06I 0102

SAPMV13A 0201

but customer's are:

SAPMM06I 0100

SAPMM06I 0101

SAPMM06I 0102

SAPMV13A 1017

why the fourth are different?

by the way, there are still other places which

are different according to the two servers, but

don't influence the BDCDATA except this screen

number.

Hello Corinne,

not two SERVERs, but two different R/3 installations!

Yes, that's the trouble with dynamic screen sequences and BDC. You have to adjust your program to the actual system or find a way, by reading customizing tables, to determine the upcomming screen sequence.

SAPMV13A 1017 is a "fast entry" screen, that will be generated during customizing.

But would you please tell me more about the customizing tables and how to determine the upcomming

screen sequence?

or else you can tell me where I can find materials about

these and I will read them.

But I will be more appreciate if you can told me by the two ways, since it will be quicker.

Hi Corrine,

Instaed of writing your own BDC for info record load , you can use standard program RM06IBI0 to load inforecords. You will have to format the file to a structure , read program documentation for more info. It takes care of screen flow dynamically . So you need not bother about different instatllations .
