BDC in Background mode

Hi,

In my program, I will be uploading set of data for data migration.

In that I am calling a transaction ....

In that tcode...its showing the set of data in ALV reprort and after that it will proceed to update the contract.

I have done the BDC for that tcode...so that through BDC it will display the data in ALV and it will go to update the contract....

(Everything through BDC Code)...

If I execute this in foreground, its working fine.

If I do the same in background, its not updating the contract,.

can anyone suggest something for this??

HI,

In background mode, try using open data set statement and read dataset statements, through application server.

If u r using gui_upoad to upload data it wont work.

data upload is not at all the problem.

The problem is with updating the contract.

I am taking data from application server to an inmternal table...after that I am calling a trancation which will have ALV grid and will update the contract...the prohblem is in updating the contract...

hi,

execute ur bdc in 'E' mode when error comes it shows the screen u can find where it goes wrong..

In BDC recording we will use one perform bdc_transaction.In that form we have use the statement

COMMIT WORK AND WAIT.

Then it will work fine.U just copy and try it
