      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;hi &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Two types of data types are there.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  1) Predefined&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  2) User defined.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Again User defined Data types devided into two types &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; a) Local type&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; b) global type&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Predefined&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt; : it is used to specify the types of individual field whose lenghts are fixed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  numeric(I,F,P)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  Charcter(C,D,N,T)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;  Hexadecimal type(X)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Predefined Elementary type with variable length (String for char String,XString for byte String)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;User Defined&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt; :  Defined by user in the program as well as out side the program in abap dictinary.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;in Local data type we declare the type in the program using predefined data type.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Elementary:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;types : t (&amp;lt;length&amp;gt;) type &amp;lt;type&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Structure type :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;types : begin of &amp;lt;struct&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;           .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;           end of &amp;lt;struct&amp;gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;table type :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;types : &amp;lt;t&amp;gt;  type\like  &amp;lt;tabkind&amp;gt; of &amp;lt;line type&amp;gt;  [with &amp;lt;key&amp;gt;].&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;types &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;in global data type we define Type Group which contain more than one types or constant names. Using Type-Pool statement we can retrive necessary types from the type group in the abap program.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
