Making fields in a table mandatory

Hi,

I have a table for which I have created a maintainence generator to enter values through SM30.

I need to make a few fields in my table as mandatory to enter without making them the keys.

Please tell how should I do that.

Create TMG and from table maintenece generator screen goto

Environment -> Modification -> Maintenece Screen and make that field mandatory.

Hi,

If you don't wish to make all fields key, then you can make them required using the Screen Painter.

After you have generated table maintenance, go back into Table Maintenance Generator screen.

Double-click on the words Overview Screen.

Click the green arrow to accept the Information message about setting the compare flag.

Screen Painter opens.

Switch to the Element tab.

From the Element tabs, switch to the Special attr. tab. In the Input column, set each I/O field to Required. Save and Activate.

Now when the table is maintained using SM30 all fields are required.

in table maintenance genarator, we are having events, in events u can wrote the code, one of the event trigger before going to save, in that u can write a check like it should be mandatory.

then it solve ur problem
