problem: I've nearly 1000 html-files, which I want to convert into txt.files automatic not manually- without tags

anyone a tool, solution or fm?

Hi,

think there is a tool called Detagger which may be helpful to convet HTML to Text file.

Plz reward points if helpful.

Hi Andreas,

1. I tried just now with 5 files and it worked fantastic.

- with abap + some other things.

(MULTIPLE FILES in ONE SHOT) thru abap

2. The following things are required.

a) download one utility from

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/htmlastext.zip

this will contain one small exe file which is a must

and put this in d:

b) this tool/exe can be run thru command line

and which we will run in ABAP using GUI_RUN

c) all the 100 files should have some similar naming convention

eg. source*.html

and all the target.TXT files need to have similar names.

eg. TARGET*.TXT

3. Suppose in d:\,

you have

source01.html

source02.html

source03.html....... and so on

4. take this config file (which u can also generate from this tool) and put in D:\ as ht01.cfg

[Config]

OpenInNotepad=1

CharsPerLine=75

Source=d:\source*.html

Dest=d:\target*.txt

SkipTitleText=0

AddLineUnderHeader=0

SkipTableHeaderText=0

TableCellDelimit=1

HeadingLineChars=======

HorRuleChar==

ListChars=*o-@#

ConvertMode=2

AllowCenterText=0

AllowRightText=0

DLSpc=8

LinksDisplayFormat=%T

EncloseBoldCharsStart=<<

EncloseBoldCharsEnd=>>

EncloseBold=0

SubFolders=0

5. Now in se37/or abap code,

call the FM GUI_RUN and pass parametes

command=D:\HTMLASTEXT

parameter = /RUN "D:\HT01.CFG"

6. U will instantaneously have in d:\

source01.txt

source02.txt

source03.txt
