Hello all,

In which client do we configure partner profiles and ports? Is it in gold client? I am trying to create a partner profile in gold client of partner type KU and it is giving out an error

Enter a permissible partner number

Message no. E0342

*Diagnosis*

*The partner number '990000' does not exist for the partner* *type 'KU'*.

*Procedure*

*Enter a valid partner number and make sure that this*

*partner number exists for the partner type.*

And how do we transport partner profiles to other environments? Are they get transported or do we have to create them in each and every environment (like QAS, PRD etc)?

Thanks,

Lavanya

I DO NOT think you will create partner profile in gold client. You have to create them in your ABAP client/Test client which ever is applicable.

And whenever you create partner profiles, it will ask you a transport. But there should be a way to transport them. Let me check.

Thanks,

Lavanya,

to create the partner profiles you need to enter the partner number. That partner number should be created before only then only u can use that other wise u have to create it seperatly.

U can check the tcode VOE2 to do so i guess. In that you have to give the sales org, Distribution channel....then you can use while creating the partner profiles.

One more thing you need to set up these partner profiles in all the clients. Though you set up partner profiles in golden client and if you want to work with those in other envrionments you have set up PPs in that corresponding client also.

Because if you set up the PPs in one client and if you go with the other client then the outbound system may use a different logical system for that client their site so while syndicating u will get the problem.
