Hi,

View is a combination of tables and structure is a data type.

View will have Entries in database level and structure is only a template.

Select Queries can be performed on views where as not on Structure.

Hi Mohammad,

A view is a "virtual table" containing data, which are really stored in one or more other tables. The contents of the View are dynamically generated when called from a program.

Structure refers to the Definition of an Object, mostly Table or a View, and doesn’t have any contents. Structure doesn’t exist at the underlying database system level. It exists as a definition in the dictionary. Structure does not has any content in it, it's only populated during the runtime, that's why you could not see the content in SE16 nor SE11/SE12.

If you want to see any records for any transactions (which used structures

instead of transparent tables), you could try SE11 or SE12 and click on the

'Entry help/check' to find the corresponding fields name to the existing

database tables.

However, not all of the fields has the check table entry.
