Question About Reading .DAT File....

Dear Sirs/Madams..

I have stuck up with problems...I would be thankful to you if u help me to come out these problems...

I want to read .DAT file but when i get into my internal table .. whole data from that file is showing into only one row of my table ... and hence i cannot have loop over it.. and thats y i cannot apply my manipulation to achieve my goal..

so can u tell me how can i distribute the whole data of one row into no of rows..

i hope would have got my problem...!!!

HI,

Generally it will read one line in the file as one record. first check the file data...if possible can i see the code to find out the prob.

Thanks for your reply..

But the real problem is that

" i am getting whole .DAT file data as one record of the internal table unlike .TXT file where i get whole data in no of records into internal table accordingly... so my requirement is to have internal table like when i read .TXT file "

Take the entire record in one field(separate internal table) and split it

accordingly to your requirement ..
