Regarding Upgrade Project

Hello All,

I am new to upgrade project. For checking the domains and data elements we will go to se11 and then we check the syntax error and then EPC errors. My doubt is " Cant we write a BDC program to do all these tasks so that input is the program and output will be the errors ( both syntax and EPC errors ) " . Please tell me is there any other way to do all these things . Because if we have around 500 objects , going through each and every object takes a lot of time. Kindly suggest me if there is any other way or BDC is possible or not.

Hi Radha,

Had a samethought of doing this. Unfortunately we do not have any program for this. You have to manually check for the consistencies of Domain and Data Elements. I hope there wouldn't be any kind of EPC on Domains and Data Elements. All you do is a syntax check and check whether they are consistent or not. It also depends on the scope that has been agreed upon.

Nice to see your question, I will develop a new program to be used.. where u can give program name/names as parameter and gives a file with errors.

Hi Srinivas,

I'm new to upgrade project. Can u please send me the program in which we can get the error for multiple objects at a time. because in our project there are 10,000 customixed objects to be checked.
