Hi All,

I have a custom table and also a UI screen for creating entries for the table. One of the field in the table is Indicator(Ztab-Indi) which has 3 values. C,M and K. It has F4 help button with

C-Coop

M-MDF

K-Marketing, once user selects one of it, it has to display the text(description) next to it.

If user selects K, then on the scrren next to the field ZTAB-INDI 'Markrting' should display.

Can someone please help me with this.

You asked this question earlier today. The answer is still the same - maintain values for the domain of INDI.

Hi Rob,

No, it is different question.

The previous question was to maintain the values for F4 help. I followed the help solved the problem and assigned the points.

This is after selecting the one of the value, the text has to be displayed next to the field.

I see - my mistake.

The n you have to get the domain values into a text field:

select single ddtext
    from dd07t
    into text_3
    where domname    = 'ZZ_YOUR_DOMAIN'
      and ddlanguage = sy-langu
      and as4local   = 'A'
      and domvalue_l = YOUR_VALUE.

Hi Rob,

The text_3 will have the text, but I want this to come next to the field on the screen after user selects a value.

If user selects K for Ztab-Indi, then on the screen next to the field 'Marketing' should come.

How can I make this text display on the screen.

I am assuming that the UI to update table is not SM30.

Add another display only Text field on your screen, populate it in PAI with XYZ by looking it up from the reference table. If you have limited values, you can hard code them.

Yes - text_3 has to be an output only field positioned where you want it on your screen (probably next to the value). Also define it in your program so that you can populate it as I showed.
