Hi,

Since ECC 6.0 you must use the SAP Solution Manager. I think it's not possible anymore to install a support package without SAP Solution Manager. With ECC 5.0 it was possible!

SAP wants now that you manage all your SAP systems via SAP Solution Manager.

PACKAGE CREATION IN SE11:

You can do it from SE11 also.

Take a table in SE11.

Click on other objects button on application tool bar. Shorcut is SHIFT+F5.

Take development Coordibnation tab. Tick the radio button Package.

You can see a create button on the tool bar. Use it!

Cheers,

vasavi.

Hi,

There is no drop down list(which shows packages and other things) showing on my screen. I believe this is basis problem. I informed to BASIS person, he is looking into it.

I tried on tool bar->edit object--> development coordination->package->OK, it is showing the package, but it is not showing the objects in package. As I remember in 4.7 and 5.0 drop down list appears. Waiting for basis people to confirm.

Thanks and regard,

Madhu.

The problem was that my SAPGUI was of old version and the system was ECC 6.0, hence could not see the packages option. When my basis person installed SAPGUI 7.10, the problem vanished, thanks for all giving me suggestions. Some suggestions helped me to navigate objects in other way round.
