update error !

hi experts !

am working with BDC !

when am doing recording for XD01 transaction ,

after filling all mandatory fields

its taking to a screen which all the screen fields are showing

(i.e, that data which am provided during the recording )

but my problem is when am Saving the recording values

A mail is getting with the info i.e, error in table KNB1 .

even i also checked the values that am entering is the wrong values.

am entering the correct values only ?

and when am checking the tables : KNA1, KNB1

in Knb1 table the values are existing wat i provided during rec.

but in kna1 table the customer no. which i provided is not existing

but in knb1 the values are existing ?

can any one pls tell me..

is any thing wrong with sap installation or whether am doing any thing wrong ?

Try uploading one record manually without BDC and see if both the tables are getted updated..If yes, then check your recording again

when am Creating through XD01 am unable to create coz its ask so and so group , customer is not Exisitng...! like dat message is getting..

when am creating through recording its not asking ,,, any thing,,

am only able to create through recording..!

Pls any expert(s) clarify my doubt..!

i do Reward them..!

Hi,

You must be able to create the customer using XD01 transaction also.

My advice is create the customer using xd01 by providing the correct account group and all the fields acccordingly.

Then while creating through recording provide with the similar account and all the details and save it.

You must be able to create it withoout any failure.

Please let me know if you find any errors.

XD01 is used to create the customer.See the number range assignment if it is the external assignment or internal assignment.If it is external assignment then you have to provide with an customer number which doesn't exist in the system.And this assignment varies depending on the account group specified in the screen.

when am creating through recording its getting the Error in knb1 table.

so am creating through tcode XD01 with the similar values ,

then it is geting the msg like not existing..!

i dont know wat is number range assignment ,

can u explain me that ?

Hi,

Check SM13 transaction for terminated updation details.

May be Tables KNA1or KNB1 are not active in the system.

Use transaction SM13 to examine failed updates.
