· RFC Client

A RFC client is some process or program system that calls a remote function. This could be ABAP/4 code running in a R/3 instance or a native program utilizing the

RFC API.

· RFC Server

A RFC server is some process or program system which implements an ABAP/4 function that can be called by a RFC client.
