Hi all.

I need to read a table from other R/3 systems.

More sepcifically, In our Production system I want to be able to read the description of a Change-request that is still in DEV/TST systems.

From my researches I understood that I need to create an RFC Function-module that I can call, but the question is how exactly is this done.

If make sense that I need to call this FM between an open & close of RFC connections, but I don't think I found the right SAP FM's for that.

I found the following FM's "RFC_TCPIP_CONNECTION_OPEN" & "RFC_CONNECTION_CLOSE", but since they don't have documentations I'm not sure these are the right ones, or that I'm on the right track at all.

Any help is appreciated.

ayal.

Hi Ayal,

There is a RFC function module to read the table entries from other servers RFC_READ_TABLE .

You can use this function module to read the table entries like a select statement executed on that particular system/server.

But the prerequisite for this is there should be an RFC destination to be defined in between these two servers.

Regards..

Ravi
