STXL table.

Hi all,

I have created one text editor using cl_gui_textedit class.

what ever any one write in this text editor can be saved in STXL table and can be read again using SAVE_TEXT and READ_TEXT function module.

WA_THEAD-TDNAME = ztpitxt_t-tasks.

WA_THEAD-TDID = 'ST'.

WA_THEAD-TDOBJECT = 'TEXT'.

WA_THEAD-TDSPRAS = sy-langu.

MOVE-CORRESPONDING WA_thead TO G_HEAD.

SELECT SINGLE * from STXL into wa_stxl

where tdname = WA_THEAD-TDNAME

AND TDID = WA_THEAD-TDID

AND TDOBJECT = WA_THEAD-TDOBJECT

AND TDSPRAS = WA_THEAD-TDSPRAS.

text object here used is TEXT and text id is ST same as we use for standard text. Every thing is working fine.

My question is:

1. Is it right to save text in STXL table?

2. I have used textobject as 'TEXT' and textid as 'ST' , should I create my own textid and textobject or is it ok to use what is there for standard text?

Yes. Texts will be stored in STXH and STXL tables only.

Yes the text objects and id you have used are correct. NO need to create your own textid and textobject.
