Reducing IDOC size

Hi,

I would like to reduce the size of the IDOC. Can we restrict the maximum segments per IDOC. How can we modify IDOC basic type ( Eg: HRMD_A06)?

Yes you can do that.

1. Go to WE30.

2. enter the basic type or extension type.

3. Change

4. Dauble click the specific segment

5. You will find Maximum No in a popup

6. specify the maximum no you want

7. enter and save the change.

This will solve yourpurpose.

Hi,

In the basic type there in WE30, if u enter into it by specifying the it u can see all the segment onthe left hand

side and on right hand side if u click on the segment ther

is an option to give the limit for it like 1000/ 10,000 like that.

Park,

If it is customised Idoc you can cut the segments from the Idoc type.From standard you can not do like.

So, Solution is you have to copy that iDoc type as Zidoc and delete the segements from the type and add this idoc type to message type in tcode we82.
