Hi,

Data exchange via EDI requires internal SAP measurement units to be converted into standard measurement units(ISO Codes). For this SAP provides some options,

Use the transaction code "CUNI" for each UOM defined, there is a option to Change and Maintain the Units by ALE/ IDoc Process.

Knidly check this option, whether this helps for your requirement.

Cheers..

Whenkey.

Iam trying to ALE material masters from one R/3 to another.

I get the following message:

Unit of measure ****** is not defined; check your entry

Message no. M3490

Diagnosis

The key for the unit of measure you entered is not defined in table T006.

Procedure

Define the unit of measure through Customizing (Materials Management).

when i look at data record in the IDOC in MEINS- it has the Base UOM.

When i try to reprocess this IDOC through WE19 by changing this feild to indicate the ISO CODE for the UOM...the system posts perfectly.

Why is the system not converting to the ISO code when it posts the IDOC ?

Is there program correction, or is there a report to MASS change the IDOC feild like WE19.

Thank you.
