Hi,

Please tell me what happens during Read Data, and Convert Data.

What is meant by Transactions Read, Transactions Written and not written.

Please let me know regarding these.

hi,

in read data the data in flat file is read and in convert data dat in flat file is converted to the data in sap system.

transactions read:

this refer to the number of records read from flat file.

transaction written:

these refer to the records which are written into sap system successfully.

transactions not written:

these are the records which are not successful in writing into sap.

hi,

Read data:

In this step, LSMW reads the data from the source file (from your PC’s local drive). You have the option to read only selected rows and convert data values to Internal format.

Convert data:

This is the step that actually converts the source data (in source format) to a target format. Based on the conversion rules defined, source fields are mapped to target fields.

Read data-> means it will read the data from File( which is existing either in Presentation or Application server).

Convert data-> means Convert the data as per logic written while mapping source and target field.

for eg ,insert zeros in material no while uploading them from file, so at the time of convertmaterial number will be converted with inserted zeroes.
