FM for capturing Retroactive accounting

Hello everyone

My name is vijay. I have a Question in Payroll/HR.

How can i capture retroactive accounting for an employee ( if there is one for that employee), i mean is there any FM.

And similarly for off-cycle payment and reversal.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Hi,

The FM 'CD_RETROCALC_PERIOD' is used to find out whether record is a Retro or not.If it is , then 'CD_READ_PREVIOUS' is used to get the previous record.

When you run the Payroll results you get 'RGDIR'(Results Directory) filled in.It has Indicators for reversal (reversal) and off-cycle reason(OCRSN).

Use Macro 'rp-imp-c2-cu' to read results directory in your program

Thank you for the reply. but i have a question instead of using macro 'rp-imp-c2-cu' for reading results directory, i have used FM 'cu_read_rgdir' and followed by 'cd_retrocalc_period'.

And if this FM gives me 'X' then retro is found for the pernr and i have to use FM 'cd_read_previous'.

But i am not able to understand the functionality of this FM 'cd_read_previous'(i mean working of this FM).

If you can help in this that would be great.

Hi Vijay,

This module transfers a previous payroll record for a payroll record; this is the newest record for the payroll period (or daily payroll run) which was written before the transferred payroll record and contains the same FOR data as the transferring record.

ie if there is a retro for period 11/05 , there will be two entries in RGDIR with FPPER 11/05 . One with SRTZA = 'A' which is the actual/current result and the other with SRTZA = 'P' which is the previous result. the function module 'CD_READ_PREVIOUS' returns this Payroll Record ( Previous ).

I understood the retroactive accounting concept. but when i go to CD_READ_PREVIOUS in the export or tables parameter it has two RGDIR structures, which i am not able to understand suresh.

My exact problem is i am not able to understand how exactly should i use this FM CD_READ_PREVIOUS, if you could explain this that would be of great help.

And one more thing, after using this FM CD_READ_PREVIOUS am i suppose to use PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT?

Hi Vijay,

the question is marked as anwered.. just in case..

in CD_READ_PREVIOUS there are two tables parameters.. RGDIR = RGDIR (from your 'CD_READ_RGDIR' )

OUT_RGDIR will have only one entry.. pass the SEQNR of that entry & pernr, Cluster ID ( depends on the Country ie 'RU' for US Payroll) to PYXX_READ_PAYROLL_RESULT to read the previous result..
