BAPI_MATERIAL_BOM_GROUP_CREATE

I am trying to use BAPI_MATERIAL_BOM_GROUP_CREATE to create new and change the existing BOM IN SAP.

I could use the BAPI successfully for creating the new BOM, but when I use the BAPI to change the BOM which was originally created by the same BAPI.

I am encountering the following errors

1. No instance of object type BOMGroup has been created. External reference:

2. BOM already exists for

3. Error when checking the data of the object type=& / Id=& of group Id=&

Following changes are expected:

Adjusting component quatity, deleting components and adding new components.

The documentation states that the BAPI can be used for Create and Change the BOM.

Has anyone used the same BAPI to change the BOM? Any help is appreciated.

How are you populating your table parameter <b>BOMGROUP</b>?

I am using the IDOC interface messsage type MATERIALBOM_CREATEBOMGROUP

Following segment corresponds to BOM group E1BP1080_BGR_C

BOM_GROUP_IDENTIFICA " "

OBJECT_TYPE BGR

OBJECT_ID 00000001

TECHNICAL_TYPE M

BOM_USAGE 1

BOM_GROUP

CREATED_IN_PLANT 3010

There are filled in BOM group group identification and BOM_GROUP as it was used to create the BOM .

Could you solve this problem? I am stuck with the same errors.

Also, I got: "Data is incomplete".

I am trying to change an already existing BOM.
