Message type HRMD_A07

We had reduced the message type HRMD_A06 to ZHRMD_A but when we upgraded sap to ECC6 the reduced message type ZHRMD_A is pointing at HRMD_A07 , Is there any way to bring it back to point to HRMD_A06 . Let me know if anyone knows.

Hi,

What you can do, is using SE16 to remove value in 'Predecessor' file (SAP delivered default is set to HRMD_A07) in the table EDBAS. Sorry, can't find maintenance view/transaction for this particular table therefore standard SM30 will not work for this change. After this change, the FM IDOCTYPE_GET_FAMILY will return value 'HRMD_A06' instead of 'HRMD_A07' when you access BD53 for message type reduction.
