You are missing a .dll file which needs to be installed either in the Windows System directory or the directory where you start the SAPGUI from.

I've had this problem myself as well.

I'm unfortunately not at a system today so I can't give you the name of the .dll but that's the problem when you can find the name of the .dll file.

I've also seen this problem occur a long time ago --shouldn't occur these days - is that when you don't have enough memory in your Windows system then the SAPGUI can't start the layout editor. - This shouldn't be a problem on todays hardware however.

Just a SILLY question here - but when you installed the SAPGUI did you select Graphical Screen Painter as one of the options.

Our shop just gave us an install file with no user options -- of course the .dll file was missing - what does normal management admin know about Screen Painter anyway. However problem soon fixed.

Cheers

jimbo
