How to create view, with DISTINCT statement ?

Hello,

I'm trying to create a view on a table, in SE11 transaction (type Database View). I would like defined an DISTINCT SQL statement but I don't know how to and where do this.

I also take this thread to ask you, why it's not possible to define join conditions with operators like : > < >= <= ? Only '=' operator is available in tab 'Table/Join Conditions' ?

Another SAP newbie question ... is it possible to define views by taping directly SQL statement ?

first you create a view in transaction se11

and while writing sql query in transaction se38

you use distinct statement

reward if useful

Thanks, but I already do that.

My question is, is it possible to create directly a view "useful" (with distinct statement, with join ...) for an BW extractor for example ?

(Thus avoiding extractor based on function modules, when it's not really necessary ...)

I don't think it is possible. But you could still handle the duplicates on the BW side using an R/3 view. Just load a DSO, and overwrite the dups.
