How to Move file to another folder within ABAP Code

Hi Experts,

My requirement is to move text file from one folder to another folder.

Is there any posibility to use windows OS move command within ABAP program. (Thats a background job)

If anyone has experience with it, appreciate your help me to solve this issue.

You can use CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>FILE_COPY.

after process use file_copy method of the above class.

Hi,

Check the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.

It has a lot of methods like:

FILE_DELETE

FILE_COPY

etc. which can be used to play around with files on presentation server.

Can we use it in Background job, Its can only be used in client machine, Am i correct.
