Difference between the fields in the table.

what is the difference between 'WERKS' and 'UMWRK' in MSEG table.

ALso what is the difference between LGORT and 'UMLMG in MSEG table.

pls explain -

WERKS has the description 'Plant'

UMWRK - issuing/receiving plant

Logft = Storage location

UMLMG - Issuing/receiving storage location.

Its like busines between two persons(Comanies) .

If you are a seller and I am buyer

then I am reciever in both the cases,

that is you sending goods/ whatever form your plant to my plant and from your storage location to my storage location.

Mseg table is related to

MKPF

So11

SO13

MVER

EKBE

it comes under material master purchasing section..

Used for Goods receipt...

WERKS has the description 'Plant'

UMWRK - issuing/receiving plant

Logft = Storage location

UMLMG - Issuing/receiving storage location.

Umwrk is good recived form which plant or issued to which one..

same is the case for storage location..

Hi,

Its like business between two companies say A and B.

let us assume B is customer to A. and B has ordered some goods from A.

and Every company will have plants and storage location in it right?

so now A will have the data in his SAP system like from where he is sending the goods ( Form Which plant and which storage Location)

similarly He wants to keep the data of his customer (To Which plant and which storage Location).

so here we have two plants( senders and receivers) and two storage location ( senders and receivers).

some cases with in company itself there will be movement of goods form one plant of storage location to another plant of storage location.

I am not a functional guy . So I have explined you as per my understanding.

thank you for the explanation. I got the concept. But how to display the same field UMWRK as both receiving plant and issuing plant.

Let assume that i want this receiving and issuing plants to be displayed in the output screen. Then how can i get it displayed with the same field, dynamically in the O/P screen?

HI ,

why do you need to out two different field values in one field you can take two variables for two values right?

and based on condition you can print either of them .
