RFC Failure

Hello friends,

We have a RFC connection to an non SAP system.

We are moving to 4.6 to 6.0. It works fine in 4.6 but in 6.0 when testing it fails. and the message is communication failed.

I have debugged and looked at the Remote function module and it returs sy-subrc = 1. (communication to the server failed).

What could be the reasons for this and how could we get this fixed.

Have you checked in the SM59--> MDMP&Unicode tab . Check the type is this is according to your type (unicode/nonunicode) ?

We have this issue previously,

May this will help you. I think you are in version ECC6?

hi,

the probable reason could be, logical systems are not configured.

The RFC destination should be configured.

if your using FM like Call fuinction 'XXXX' Destination <RFC dest> then RFC dest should be configured.

Please check how it is done in 4.6 and analyze the environement here in 6.0
