regarding idocs

hi,

i am trying to create a custom idoc which transfers data of

ztable of server r/3 ecc 5.0 to the ztable present in server r/3 ecc 6.0. while doing that we have to assign client to logical system.so in SALE transaction while doing that in ecc 5.0 .....in that there is already an entry present as 100 client ...so i could'nt able to create client with number 100.

is that necessary to have different clients for sender and receiver systems . And if a client for example 100 already exists in the step... assign client to logical system ...in SALE

if i try to assign client 100 to logical system it gives an error saying that client 100 already exists.how could i overcome that?

Are you trying to add entries to the table?

Instead of adding, double click on a line (that correspond to your client) and change the logical name in the next screen.

Note :

The client numbers of both systems can be the same.

Just make sure that the logical names are unique :

e.g.

System T01 Client 800 logical name TESTT01

System A01 Client 800 logical name ACCA01

As long as A01 client 800 does not has TESTT01 as logical system name, there is no problem.

hi,

i have changed properties of client 100 which already exists for sender.......it is saved....but for the receiver system also client 100 has to be created while doing that it says the client 100 is already exists and how to over come that.

ECC 5.0 -

client 100 assigned----sender

ECC 6.0 -

client 100 could'nt able to create----receiver

SALE basic settings, create logical system name:

Create 2 logical system names,

e.g. TESTT01 and ACCA01.

Do this in your sending AND receiving system.

In your sending system

go to SALE, basic settings, assign logical system name.

double click on your client and assign a logical name (e.g. TESTT01) .

In your receiving system

go to SALE, basic settings, assign logical system name.

double click on your client and assign a logical name (e.g. ACCA01)
