address update in the smartforms - help in smartforms

hi folks,

I need to display the address in the smartform in a particular format like this:

Target

120 Adams Ave

LINCOLN MN 55120-1234

where as using the 'address node' in the smartform the address gets displayed like this,

Company

Target

120 Adams Ave

LINCOLN MN 55120

USA.

How can I change to the required format?

Hi Santosh

Go to your form, See if 'Company' is hardcoded on the Smartform? If yes, remove it.

And for 'USA', see if there is any field like 'land'/'land1' there? If yes, remove it.

I suggest to not use the Address statement of Smartform which is a pre-formatted block.

You can use your own address layout selecting data in the ADRC table with your add number.

Santhosh, according to the SmartForms on-line documentation, FM ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM is used to format the address according to country standards. You can implement a user exit to format the address in any format you want. Also, to get rid of the USA, put US in the SENDING COUNTRY BOX. Hope this helps.

Hi Santosh,

Two ways you can format the address.

1. Instead of using the address node, have a text node and give fields for the address. You can get the complete address using the function module ADDR_GET.

2. Otherwise implementing the user exit SZAD0001. You can get an extensive help on this in the exit (SMOD).
