Hi Satheesh,

SAP follows it's own nomenclature for defining the standard programs. The CL represents that it is a class, the rest of the part refers to the class definition name.I am not too sure of the ==== part.Hope this is useful.

I wasnt aware that EX stands for EXits.Thank you Anand. The info that you have given below is wonderful.

Cheers

Nishanth

Message was edited by: Nishanth Bhandar

Hi Satish,

The CL stands for a class. The EX says that it is a BADI. As you may be aware, BADIs are implemented as Classes. The reason we have the EX here is because BADIs are supposed to be the newer kind of User EXits.

The CM0003 tells tells us that it is the third method of the class. Just like the finction modules of a function group have a naming convention of L<name of the function group>Unn where nn is the number f the particular function module, we have the methods of a class also similarly indexed.

If you go to the table TMDIR, you can see which index stands for which method of the class.

Hope this helps. If not, please get back.

Regards,

Anand Mandalika.
