there r 4 methods im lsmw?what is the fun of batch input recording?which method is best and easy?

batch input recording is to record the transaction of which you want to upload the data and then proceed in the same manner as direct input.

indirect input method you need nor record transaction it is already having a standard program for that.

use of all the methods depends on the requirment .

Hi srinath ,

As u said there r 4 methods in LSMW.

Which method to opt completly depends on requirement.

DIRECT INPUT is done thru standard programs.

BATCH INPUT METHOD is done thru recording for all applications.

IDoc method can be used if requirement states it.

BAPI if any BAPI exits use the BAPI.

Out of all methods , BAPI is good b'coz it doesn't bother about screen sequennce & simply updates the data.
