Program runs based on Quality server data

Hi,

All the programs which are developed in Development server needs to be checked with the Quality data....

Since there is no data in Development server , i need to transport each and every time to Quality server and starts checking......this increases overhead....

So is there anyway that the programs which are developed in DEVELOPMENT SERVER can able to use QUALITY SERVER data directly only for testing purposes???

Any inputs on this highly rewarded.

Hi,

If frequently transporting the developments to QA environment is not convinient, the Basis team can copy the QA Data onto the DEV database. The frequency of data copy can be decided based on your specific requirements (size of data and testing requirements).

Hi,

If the Basis team is willing to refresh the data from R3Q to development server on a periodic basis say for every 3 months, then testing can be carried out in Development System itself. When this activity is carried out Development will be either a copy of Quality or production client (depending from which system a refresh is done).

If the above is not possible, then you may have to transport the requests to quality and then do the testing.

Hi ,

Yes both are acceptable solutions but the client is not willing to share the data to development server. In such scenario , all developments has to undergo many transport requests list....
