How do I provide matchcode (F4) for GuiXT created fields?

select-options:

so-test for <tablename>-<fieldname> MATCHCODE OBJECT <search_helpname>

Hi,

You need an ABAP program (ZGUIXTF4) which has to be installed in your R/3 system. The ZGUIXTF4.txt file is copied in the installation directory when installing GuiXT. You have to assign a transaction code ZXF4 to this program. Please refer to documentation -> special topics -> Value help and matchcode for your own inputfields / Lokale Wertehilfe und Matchcode für eigene Eingabefelder / Aide de valeurs et matchcode pour vos propres champs de saisie.

Now, for any GuiXT field, you can specify the actual technical name (in the form Table-Field) when specifying an input field.
