You have to create authorization group in SE54 itself. there is radio button 'assign authoriz group' choose this and create/change. After assigning the authorization group. Talk to your security/administrator to assign the same to users. He will create necessary things.

To transport - Yes, you need to transport to test and production (if you want). Again ask your security guy to transprot the same authorization to test and production.

You dont have to transport to all dev clients but the authorzation shoul be given in all clients.

Hi All,

 I have created the custom table and I assigned the same to the authorization group(se54).When I go into SE16 and browse for the table(TDDAT) I can see the assigned table to the authorization group.But if I go into a role, and pull the authorization group from the authorization object(S_TABU_DIS) ,I cannot see the created authorization group in that object.How I can assign the created authorization group to the users? It is created in DEV and I need to move across the system.In this case do I need to transport the table to all the clients? If yes,then how I can do?..Need helpppp

If you created it in development, it is not reqired to move to the clients in the same server but you have to transport it into quality and production.

To assign these authorization object to the users you have to add it into a role for that user in transaction

PFCG->select a role ->authorizations->authorization data->

add manually.
