Adding * as an entry to table maintainence view

I want to add * ( which indicates all entries for a field in the table can be considered ) as an entry to a field in the table maintainence view (SM30) . But when I save the entry with * value in a field its throwing the error message

"Entry * does not exist in CRMC_PROC_TYPE - check your entry". CRMC_PROC_TYPE is the check table .

Is there any settings that can be done to eliminate this error message and to save * as an enter in the table maintainence view ?

hi,

nothing like settings,

if u dont have entry(record ex: * ) in key firgure of check table (i.e.CRMC_PROC_TYPE ), that record dont accept in view, first try to create record with name * in the check table CRMC_PROC_TYPE then view will accept * as a record.
