    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I know about going to system - status and then clicking the display button in the SAP system data.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After I click the display I get a popup window. In that window I see the following columns -&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;software component - release - level - highest support .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please help me to interpret these fields. What means what?.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Which one do i need to look for each module  (like ABAP, SD; MM; PP etc) version.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I see the following -&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;software component - release &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SAP_BASIS	620&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SAP_ABA	                620&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SAP_APPL	470&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SAP_HR	                470&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;EA-IPPE	                110&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;PI	                2004_1_470&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;PI_BASIS	                2006_1_620&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ST-PI	                2005_1_620&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;From this information, what is the version of R3, ABAP I am using&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Balu&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi balu,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;find the procedure below.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Login to SAP&lt;/STRONG&gt; --&amp;gt; From the Header Drop down click the &lt;STRONG&gt;System&lt;/STRONG&gt; ---&amp;gt; and select the &lt;STRONG&gt;Status&lt;/STRONG&gt; from the drop down. You will get a pop up window showing the information. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In that have a look at &lt;STRONG&gt;SAP System Data&lt;/STRONG&gt; sub window. You will find a icon (display) in that window.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Balu,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You're looking in the right place already.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The columns mean the following;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Component - identifies the specfic element of the software&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Release - The base release of that component&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Level - The patch level of the component&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Highest support package - Basically, the technical name of the patch, same as the level really.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For example an ERP system will be made up of BASIS, SAP_ABA (cross application), SAP_APA etc, CRM might be BASIS, SAP_ABA, BBPCRM etc.  By building the software in these components the same elements (in this BASIS) can be reused by multiple solutions.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Nick&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
