experts,

i need a help the logic for the lot no.

lot number = ryipav

position 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 1 6

specimen s e r t y u i o p w a c v x l n

application x x x x x x

for lot no.

the requirment z like this Gurus...

so in the application for lot no were r 'X' i need these fields only

So plz Help me in this Experts

3 r x are in the same line in the same way

Try this example

data: a(20).

Data : begin of itab occurs 0,

pos type i,

spe(1),

app(1),

end of itab.

itab-pos = 3.

itab-spe = 'r'.

itab-app ='x'.

append itab.

itab-pos = 5.

itab-spe = 'y'.

itab-app ='x'.

append itab.

itab-pos = 7.

itab-spe = 'i'.

itab-app ='x'.

append itab.

itab-pos = 9.

itab-spe = 'p'.

itab-app ='x'.

append itab.

itab-pos = 11.

itab-spe = 'a'.

itab-app ='x'.

append itab.

itab-pos = 13.

itab-spe = 'v'.

itab-app ='x'.

append itab.

loop at itab.

if itab-app ='x'.

concatenate a itab-spe into a.

endif.

endloop.

write : 'Lot Number =', a.

awrd points if useful

what do u mean by 'These Fields are not static'. ?

Are they strings or what?

What will be ur input so that the output u requested?

In this

1.Is always starts from the 3 position of the postion and specimen?

2.Is application starts from 1 position?
