I have created a ztable and also created a table mantainance for this table. When i try to create new enteries, it says 'Client has status non modifiable'. How to fix this error. How can i populate this table then without writting a program.

Hi,

does ztable is a Customizing table ?

if yes, your error message explain that you are not in the good mandant.

Go in the mandant authorized by your administration team to fill customizing tables. And fill your table maintenance there. Normally SAP will generate a transport request (TR).

Then go to your current mandant and use transaction ~~SSC1~~ SCC1 with your TR to import data created in your customizing mandant.

The client you are trying to enter values is not modifiable. That means, you have to create entries in the table in which client you've created ztable and table main'ce and then transport the same entries into the one which needs these values.

I have created in the same client where i'm getting this message. Its a development client, I have created the table, it means its modifiable. Then why its giving this message...

Yes it's a customized table...z*

How can i transprt data of a table, pls suggest

This is purely Basis issue ,once you have created table maintaince then it allows to create the data.

if not then settings would be the issue.

Be sure the auth group in table maint.dialog generator is &NC& and Auth object is S_TABU_DIS.

Recording routine - choose no, or user, recording routine.

Your ztable settings - Go to technical settings and choose data class - user.

Now go to SM30 and test your table - i mean, try to create entries there.

To transport the values - You can see the Transport button on the sm30 initial screen. you can transport using that button and ask your admin for the transport path.

Well, let us know if this doesnt fix the problem. Make sure you made all the changes mentioned above.

Hello,

I think, Mickael meant the delivery class of the table (customizing, application, ...) that can be defined in SE11 (tab Delivery and Maintenance), when you create a new Z-table. If you define the table as customizing table, and the client settings do not allow changes to customizing (think it's transaction SCC4, where you can define the settings for the clients), you'll get the error message.

So try to change the delivery class of the table, from customizing to e.g. application data.
