Hai Dhan

The ticketing system is different for each org to org. so there wont be any specific method or step by step system there.

Some time it will be an email, or a oral chat so it all depends on the ticketing system ur org is using.

generally it will be email that will be shooted at you, describing a short description, you need to investigate into it and resolve it.

Practically a user raises ticket to a functional consultant.

Its up to functional then whether to allocate a ticket to abap.

Practically thinking raising ticket to abap will make mess of whole process in complex dev scenarios.

Example user A reports a problem in sale order to functional X.

User B raises a problem in delivery to functional X.

User C raises a problem in invoice to functional X .

As more of things were custom so functional raised 3 tickets on abap name.

Actual problem though was in order only.

Other issue :2 abapers will end up working on same objects many times at parallerl.Ex abaper A working on unit conversion problem ticket in MV45AFZZ.Similarly in SD module itself another ticket get raised for schedule line data not correct so other abaper is debugging MV45AFZZ to look for VBEP-KWMENG.

Technically two ticket work is happening but neither two functuonals know this nor two abapers.But in version comparison things will be clear.

I never suggest abap should work this way on tickets concepts.

To make sap realize simplify your system please. We have better tools like wordpress,joomla today than sap.

If you are an ABAP Developer or similar and you experience a situation where the ABAP programming language or the ABAP platform do not behave as expected, you open an ABAP ticket. Otherwise, you open a SAP ticket for the respective application component.
