Hi,

Transaction Variants:

You can reduce the complexity of the system by hiding functions you do not need. Transaction variants allow you to reduce the complexity of a complete transaction for the user as follows:

Predefine fields with values The user can overwrite these values.

Revoke the Ready for Input status of fields for which the user does not have to enter information.

Hide screen elements, such as input fields, that the user does not need.

Hide whole screens.

A transaction variant is a reference to a set of screen variants.

You can create any number of screen variants for a screen. The transaction variant consists of these screen variants.

You can create different kinds of transaction variants for an SAP transaction:

A standard variant

Any number of normal transaction variants

The standard variant is executed at runtime instead of the SAP delivered transaction. No new transaction code is required.

A normal transaction variant will be called with its own transaction code of type variant transaction.

Regards,

Puneet Jhari.

Hi,

Whenever a screen for a particular transaction is to be suppressed using a transaction variant, the function code is saved in the variant so that the transaction can resume with the following screen.

The transaction is SHD0.

Regards,

Renjith Michael.

Edited by: Renjith Michael on Jan 12, 2008 4:22 PM
