VA01 ---user exit

Hello all,

I have a requirement in va01 such that when the credit limit exceeded message comes when the user saves the contract a popup to be created to revert back.i have created the popup but when i revert back some data is lost such as item quantity. please help how should i revert to the old data in the screen.

i have used popup_tp_confirm function module and message type E .i have coded this in userexit_save_document.

Hi Mahesh,

In general, after displaying error message, all fields wil be disabled. If u want to give error message without disabling and you also want all the values to retain, use the following syntax.

message s(123)06 display like 'E'

where 123 -> message no.

06 -> message class

Then use the pop up and now you wil not get any values to be lost.

But i tried with ur solution it doesnt work.my requirement is i have to go back to the screen and edit the item if there is credit limit exceeded message

No Kamala. my scenario is to have control such that user can go back with a popup and edit the sales order screen.

Your task wil be surely achieved thro configuration itself. Please consult your corresponding functional consultant. I have faced same task in PO and it was achieved thro configuration. Even after that, if you are not able to achieve, then there is a lengthy procedure to finish it. So let me know.

Hi,

To check for the suitable badi, Go to transaction SE24 and give the Object type as CL_EXITHANDLER and click on Display button.

Double click on method GET_INSTANCE, put a break point on case statement.

Execute your transaction and look for variable EXIT_NAME at your scenario then it will show the available badi's.

If no BADIs available for your task, then go to the following method.

1. First find the main program of your transaction from system -> status.

2. Then set breakpoint and start debugging and check in which program the price limit and the exceeded price you get.

3. After finding the program, check whether any userexit exists in that program. If so, then in that userexit check your condition using if condition and if it succeds, then write the error message as

mmpur_message_forced 'E' 'ME '900' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' '.

where me -> message class and 900 -> message no.

This error message is included in an include program mm_messages_mac. So thro enhancement point concept, insert this mm_messages_mac program in the main program of userexit by statement

INCLUDE mm_messages_mac.

This error message statement wil give you the error message and when you try to save your SO, it wil display a popup asking whether to save or edit.

If you click edit, all your data wil be retained without losing anything.
