Alternative Sales Document Types

Hi,

We have a requirement for a utlity to provide informations on alternative sales document type. SAP gives provision to declare two alternative sales document types.

When user creates a Sales order with this sales order type SAP gives provision to convert the current sales order to another sales order type (specified in config). This is done by providing radio buttons on standard Sales order transaction.

SAP stores this informations in some tables.

If anyone knows about this functionality please focus some light on it.

We are on 4.7 Enterprise.

Typically this is used in Telecom (I guess).

Hi,

New thing I learnt and just tried on my system .

You have to define al leats one alternative doc type in the sales doc type in config. Later you will see the two radio buttons on the "Sales" tab of sales order screen.

Check View V_TVAK is se16 or use transaction VOV8.

to see the saled doc type settings.

Hi Sanjay,

You are right. It is stored in table TVAK.

We have to provide a report on Old Sales Order & New Sales order. Also the report should display when the document change is happened.

Would like to see the trace when sales order is changed from one type to another. So that we can see where these details are stored.

Actually one of my friend is facing this problem. On my project we do not have this sceniero so I can't debug it here.

Hi all , I am not able to get complete info ...

When I have created sales documennt say OR and have alternative sales document defined as ZOR , then how can i create alternative document , where that option will be seen ?

can you please explain in brief creation part !!! Thanks in advance
