Dear Srini,

As I understand you want to know the status of a program which is running in the background. This can be done using SM50 or SM37. SAP updates teh tables TBTCO whenver your background job status change. However if SAP is shutdown, the current jobs might not be updated ontime to the table. (e.g. a background job was shown as Active (SM37), in fact the real status should be 'Cancelled'.)

Best Regards,

Rajesh.

Please reward points if found helpful.

Hi,

Once the job is scheduled, you can see the status of the program in SM37. In SM37 give the job name and give the user name or else u can use * in the user name field, and select the date range. It will display the result, in that you can find the status of the report.

If report status is active, it means to say the job is in progress.

If staus is cancelled, it is cancelled.

If staus is ready it is ready to go to the active mode, which is in process.

Thanks,

Sriram Ponna.
