Remove Find Button in BEx tool

Hi all,

I use s_rs_fold object to remove other buttons on BEx analyzer. However, the find button allow user to find other queries. How do I remove the find button in BEx?

'Find' button on BEX goes thru Authority-check on S_RS_COMP and S_RS_COMP1.

there is no option of removing the 'find' on your BEX. and S_RS_FOLD only gives you an option to hide the 'Infoarea' on BEX as you said.

but when you search a query thru 'find' button it searches only under the infoareas you have access to. So if you restrict by infoarea and infoproviders on S_RS_COMP & S_RS_COMP1 objects that would restrict the search to the queries and workbooks for only those infoareas , you have access to.

for example, you gave a user access to only COPA infoproviders, then when he hits the 'find' button it only searches for reporting components under COPA infoproviders.

I have deactivated S_RS_COMP and S_RS_COMP1, but still user can see other queries using * in the find button. Then I deactivated everything under RS and still user can still see others queries under find search. All though, user cannot running the queries but I don't want them to able to see these confidential queries. I am using template S_RS_RREPU(BI Role: Reporting user) to create this role.

Please help!

Hi Wayne,

Yes, I did resolved my authorization issue. I implemented OSS note 601090 and played around with object S_RS_COMP and S_RS_COMP1. Now, users can only see the assigned queries and nothing else. They can't find any queries beside queries assigned to the role.

Could you please share what activities you gave for S_RS_COMP and S_RS_COMP1 to restricts the find button.

You can't hide the find button. But here is my activity:
