how to debug a smartform?

I am facing deffficulty.. while debugging the my smartform.

this is called in e-recruitement portal.. i tried with smartform_trace and break-point and all.

how to do this?

Please help me.

One way is to create a PROGRAM LINES and put hard break point like BREAK <USER>.

The other way:

Copy the string where you want to place the break point.

Now, press the Test button on the smartform. You will reach to SE37.

Press Display.

Press Binocular ..(search), don't use Ctrl+F

Paste copied text into the box for the search

Select the "Main program" and press enter...

You will find the instance of the code.

Double click on it to open the editor.

Place cursor on your place and press the breakpoint button.

DEBUG Smartform:

1) One way to debug smartform is to debug the Function Module of that smartforms.

If you want to debug particular smartform node that the solution would be,

insert a "Program Line" just above the node you want to debug and this program line write a normal abap breakpoint.

So whenever you call the smartforms, it will stop at this breakpoint and you can debug onwards.

2) SFTRACE can be used for debugging SMARTFORMS.

hey hi,

Follow the steps:

1. Note the function module name of the smart form.

2. in se37, suffix l(small L) after the last '/' in the function module name and suffix f01(Fzero1)as last 3 characters of the function module name.

3. run the function module. all the smartform will be there with the code.

4. put the breakpoint where required in the code.

5. run the smartform using the transaction, it will enter the debuggging mode.

Place a code page in the smartform and hardcode breakpoint at a location from where you want to debug or place a breakpoint on the function module of the smart orm present in the driver program.
