hai gurus

i am new to sap . i want to know what is the difference between the following t-codes.SE01 ,STMS ,SE09 and SE10 eventhough they are used to transport requests?is there any significant difference between them?

You can use the SE01, SE09 and SE10 to release your transport request.

SE01 provides you the extended selection and view of your transports.

STMS is used to transport and import the TRANSPORT requests which were released previously with help of SE01, SE09 or SE10.

is STMS used within the system or between the systems?

Hi,

STMS transaction is used to import the transport from one client to another.

i.e. If you have released the transport from DEVelopment client to QuaLiTY client, then you need to import the transport into quality using STMS transaction.

STMS is used between clients of the same system viz Development, Quality, Production.

For transfer you need to use STMS.
