Russian Text upload

i'm using gui_upload f/n module to upload a text file containing russian text. but as a result the text are replaced by '?' character in internal table. how to upoad the text without loging in russian language. my system is not unicode enabled.

Hi Prabhu,

that depens very much on system configuration, release level and code format of the file.

First make sure you can store any russian in SAP system, i.w. use text or ABAP editor to include russian texts.

If you are ECC600/ABAP640 or beyond, the system is unicode-enabled. Then it is much easier. The frontend computer should have installed the lanuage on the windows platform too.

The ? looks like wrong codepage conversion. If characters have been uploaded but can't be displayed, you would see a # but not a ?.

You may check with basis people first.

The russian text is not supported in the abap editor. also the front end is not loaded with russian fonts. we did an attempt for korean and it was loading sucessfully. next task is to check with russian.
