In practice you would probably do as follows:

1. VD05 - block customer so that no new postings go to that account

2. VD06 - mark customer for deletion

3. F56A - set up the archiving parameters for customer master. This you

will do in conjunction with your basis team. You will need to give them

input into the rules for archiving (document retention periods etc) and

they will have to do the technical set up (which archive files get

written and to which physical device etc).

4. Execute the actual archiving process - this is the step that will

physically delete the records from the SAP database.

Typically you would not just archive customer master data, you would

have a total SAP archiving approach. It would not make sense to archive

customer master records, for instance, if you still retained the old

sales order data - the system would not allow you to do it.

-

Use SARA (archiving for the customer object) and then delete if the archiving is successful.

-

Hope u can delete it using ecatt...

but not by scat.

-

try this

reward if useful

Jgds

Message was edited by:

        Jegadesh Balan

Message was edited by:

        Jegadesh Balan
