Hi,

It looks like you use BI 7.0. Then you have to create an authorization object yourself with transaction RSECADMIN. use the three default info objects and add the infoprovider in 0TCAIPROV, 02, 03 in 0TCAACTV and * in 0TCAVALID. This authorization object you create must be put in the role with the authorization object s_rs_auth. You can check if you have an authorization problem by putting 0BI_ALL in object s_rs_auth, it is a kind of sap_all for you info objects. Look also in transaction rsecadmin behind tab Analyses error log it gives a lot of info.

Have fun

Jan van Roest

read the error message as a SU53 report

so enter ZCCA_R01 in any object where there is a field entry for info provider (RSINFOCUBE) and with activity 02 and then retest until you have solved this.

There is also an authorization object S_RS_COMP1 did you already enter that?

also look into your custom object if the field RSINFOCUBE is in there and has been given enough authorizations.

besides it is not a clever solution to give full authorisations in BI objects as it might open backdoors which allows users to see everything in your systyem!

Thanks for your helpful answers:

Auke:

I have assigned ZCCA_R01 in all objects where there is a field entry for info provider (RSINFOCUBE) and with activity 02.

I also have auth objects:

S_RS_COMP1

S_RS_COMP

S_RS_ICUBE

I have only set full Auth on my objects to try and eliminate the cause of the authorisation problem and will restrict these objects once I find the problem.

Jan

Yes we are using BI7.0 and I have created the authorisation object and assigned this to S_RS_AUTH field BIAUTH.

The error log in rsecadmin does not provide much more info, only:

You do not have suffcient authorisation for access with actiivty 02 on the Infoprovider ZCCA_R01 .

Thanks again and if you have any other thoughts please let me know.

Cheers

Ian
