Custom Object Links

Hi,

I am new to DMS)Document Management system) and have been asked to figure out an issue with linking of custom objects to DIR(Document Info Record).

We have created a new document type ‘ZPR’ which works fine but we want to link them to another ztable entry.

I would appreciate if some one could send me step by step instruction in how to create this linkage. I went through SAP HELP but it was confusing and I failed.

Hi Nani,

I think to add the normal object link to DIR is SPRO -> Cross Application Compoents -> Document Management System -> Control Data -> Define Document Types, you need to select the doc type for which you need to add a extra object type. Then it will display all the object types yuou can add. I think befoe to do this you may need to create custom screen, and then add the same screen in the SPRO -> Cross Application Compoents -> Document Management System -> Control Data -> Maintain screen for object link.
